About Event

ISEE 2014, IEEE Student Branch of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham proudly presents IEEE International Symposium on Education, Technology and Entrepreneurship to be held on 27th July at Amrita School of Engineering, Kollam. It consists of various science and technology based lectures and workshops. It is the flagship symposium by the IEEE Student Branch, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. ISEE attracts participation from all over India, and seeks to provide collegiate students with a platform to excel in their talents. ISEE is entirely student managed and embraces uniqueness in appearance and management. With a wide variety of workshops ISEE 2014 opens several doors before the students to learn, aspire and experience and implement. The workshops are divided into different tracks and these tracks are sponsored by various IEEE society student chapters and each track has workshop and/or seminars by prominent personalities all over the world.Any student participating in ISEE 2014 can register for only one of the tracks. Also there is a limit for the number of students registering for each track and will be decided on 'First Come First Serve' basis.

1. Robotics and Automation : Workshop on 'Bio-inspired robots' by Mr. Tushar Mohan, Researcher at Singapore University of Technology and Design. 2. Industrial Electronics : 1) Workshop on the topic 'An Introduction to CMOS Digital Circuit Design' by Dr. Rama Subrahmanyam Komaragiri (Associate Professor, NIT Calicut), on 26th and 27th July, 2014. .The course provides hands on training sessions on using spice simulator to design circuits. 2) Distinguished Lecturer Program (DLP) on 'Modelling Electro Mechanical conversion systems' by Prof. Hiromasa Haneda (Professor Emeritus, Kobe University, Japan) on 27th July. 3. Signal Processing : A Workshop on 'Artificial Intelligence Techniques For Image Understanding' by Mr.Venkateswaralu Karnati, Senior Software Developer at Microsoft. 4. Computer Science : A workshop on 'Cyber Forensics' by Mr. Balan C, Scientist, Resource Center for Cyber Forensics, CDAC Trivandum. 5. Networking: A Workshop on 'Wireless Sensor Networks' by Dr. Kalyan Sasidhar (Assistant Professor, Center for Wireless Networks and Applications, Amrita University) on 27th of July, 2014, about WSNs - latest trend of Moore's Law toward miniaturisation and ubiquity of computing devices. 6. Education : This track is exclusively for school students. There will be a session on Career Guidance by the Corporate and Industry Relations Dept. of Amrita University followed morning by a session by Virtual labs, Amrita University. 7. Bio Inspired Computing: A workshop on 'Bio-Inspired Computation and Neuromorphic systems' by Dr. Shyam Diwakar, principal investigator of the computational neuroscience laboratory & Assistant Professor at the School of Biotechnology, Amrita University.The workshop provides you a chance to work on a very eclectic angle of bio inspired computing with focus on brain based models, architecture and control designs. 8. Entrepreneurship: Workshop on 'Value Innovation' by Dr. Anandakuttan B Unnithan, Associate Proffessor, IIM Kozhikode followed by session by Dr. Vinod Kumar Gopal, Assistant Professor, Deapartment of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita University.
